Kurtis Isgreen

Inspired by the magnificent splendor of the western landscape, Kurt captures the essence of his subject with a distinct, personal interpretation.

In the studio or on site, he achieves a direct, spontaneous rendering of light, color and pattern. A simple flowing style is characteristic of his award- winning watercolors. A style inspired by the magnificent splendor of the American West, Isgreen captures the essence of the western landscape through his distinct and very personal interpretation of the subject.

Isgreen has lived and painted in Western Colorado for more than 30 years. A graduate of Western State College he prefers to paint plein-air exploring the locations near his home and studio in Montrose, Colorado.
